If you have left, you carry questions you may not have named. If you have stayed, you carry questions about those who left. The African diaspora, whether voluntary or forced, defines half of the modern African story. This program is about that question, examined honestly: identity, belonging, return, contribution, and what it means to build a life across two continents at once. There is no clean answer, but there is clearer thinking, and that is what this program delivers.
What you will be able to do
- 01Understand why people leave and what they carry with them when they go.
- 02Make sense of belonging to two places at once without losing yourself.
- 03Handle family, money and the pressure to send money home across a long distance.
- 04Raise children born abroad with a clear sense of where they come from.
- 05Decide when return makes sense and how to return wisely if you do.
- 06Contribute to home from wherever you live, now and over the long term.
